About the department

Department is working since 1951.

To mould young minds of civil engineering students to develop professional competency and professional ethicality to design, innovate and build economically and environmentally sustainable infrastructures

To provide a learning environment which motivates students to acquire; design and soft skills to develop an attitude of inquiry
To promote interaction with industry for better understanding of prevailing technologies and managerial practices
To provide an ambience that creates impressions on the young minds of students to adhere to high standards of professional and personal ethics

To prepare civil engineering graduates well equipped with knowledge, skills, and proficiencies to function as a society centric professionals in different capabilities and roles.
To inculcate life-long learning attitude, leadership, resource management ability, team spirit and moral values for socio-economic and sustainable development with environmental sensitivity in civil engineering graduates.
To provide opportunities, knowledge, skills and attitude required to pursue higher studies, research and/or entrepreneurship in civil engineering graduates.

PSO-1: To prepare civil engineering graduates to apply fundamental principles, prescribed methodologies and modern tools in planning, analyzing, designing and constructing various Civil Engineering systems.
PSO-2: To impart technical knowhow among civil engineering graduates to develop civil engineering structures incorporating safety, public health and environmental sustainability issues.
PSO-3: To cultivate skills for continuous learning to achieve functionally efficient and cost-effective solutions to modern infrastructure development.
